On the regional, national and European level, evaluations, thematic analyses and other information have become increasingly relevant as decision support for public institutions and input for programme / policy improvement.

With its longstanding experience in the development and implementation of regional innovation strategies and cooperation with various research organizations, inno Germany has built up sustainable relationships with experts in various areas of innovation policy, securing access to diverse policy instruments and initiatives in different countries and regions.

inno Germany, being an active manager and initiator of innovation projects and a frequent provider of external expertise in the field of innovation and technology transfer, offers customized contract studies and evaluations to various clients in the public sector.

The participatory approach of consensus building and multi-stakeholder engagement paired with qualitative interview techniques as well as business planning and scenario analyses on innovation support infrastructures have become a specialty of inno Germany.

Feasibility study IMB, Kiel

On request of the Christian Albrecht University of Kiel, inno Germany AG carried out a feasibility study on the subject „Innovation centre for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMB): Enlargement of the new ZMB building to include research-related transfer divisions on the model of a technology centre “ in 2007.

The study aimed at analysing the expected scientific and economic impact of the enlargement of the upper floors (ZMB) of the IMB building and to substantiate the gathered data and the implementation conditions in a realistic way.

NIP Evaluation

Following a demand analysis, VINNOVA, the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, initiated a pilot programme for the development of a national incubator infrastructure in 2002 and the Swedish National Incubation Programme NIP in 2003. In order to further strengthen these innovation activities, the organisation Innovationsbron AB was created in 2005 with the main aim of supporting ideas with great market potential.

Together with an international team of experts from NIP, Innovationsbron and VINNOVA, inno Germany wrote a report of the evaluation phase 2005-2007.

The interim evaluation of the AplusB - Academia plus Business spin-off programme was conducted by inno Germany on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Traffic, Innovation and Technology (bmvit). The study Clusters and Cluster policy: a guide for local and regional policy makers was commissioned by the Committee of the Regions of the European Union. As clusters are deemed to be of great help to cities, regions and states in facing the socio-economic challenges of globalisation, this guide is intended to help local and regional decision makers determine the market position of their clusters and decide whether supporting measures from their side are needed and feasible

Plasmatechnikum

Realisation of the feasibility study “Plasmatechnikum” commissioned by the City of Greifswald. The study serves as basis for the creation of a research, service and incubator centre in the field of plasma technologies in Greifswald. The results of the feasibility study should put the involved partners in the position to evaluate success chances and risks of the current plans. The final report analyses the respective services, develops an implementation concept and evaluates the success chances for the investments needed

Realisation of an analytical report commissioned by the Canadian Government (Industry Canada) identifying existing government programmes in Germany that support strong linkages between universities and businesses as well as providing an in depth assessment of some of the programmes and universities that excel in this area.
