Fachkräfteallianz TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe/The Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion Skills Alliance: the impending and in many branches already prevailing shortage of skilled labour represents for many companies and organisations a major challenge for the years to come. To address this challenge, the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion (TRK) has made of attracting and securing skilled workforce in the region a main focus of its future regional politics and has founded the Karlsruhe TechnologyRegion Skills Alliance. In the framework of the kick-off event took in January 2013 five thematic groups were created: Regional positioning; International Professionals; MINT Professions (mathematics, informatics, natural sciences and technology) – Realizing the Potential and Health; Qualification – Vocational Training and Professional Development; Care and Education. These groups bring together representatives of all social groups with the aim of identifying specific needs and developing adequate solutions. inno supports the TRK over the two-year process of designing and implementing the Skills Alliance; its tasks include organising and moderating different events and meetings of the thematic groups as well as giving content input and securing the information exchange among all participants.
