Abruzzo is a small region in central Italy which offers different landscapes. Not only the Apennines descending slowly down to the sea, but also its rich scientific landscape distinguishes this region from others. The innovation portal implemented by innoveas gives insight into these different landscapes.

Aiming at positioning the region on a national and international level, the Abruzzo region commissioned innoveas AG the conceptualisation and creation of the Portale dell’Innovazione – a regional innovation portal for Abruzzo. This portal is for the scientific side of the region a visiting card to the outside, but not only. Its target group is formed by public and private scientific organisations inside and outside of the region as well as industry and anyone who is interested in innovation through scientific research.
This portal works as:
 | a regional marketing tool which supports information exchange and cooperation

| an open door to new partnerships between research institutions inside and outside of the region

| a bridge between research and industry, a tool to help commercialising research results

Abruzzo’s know-how is presented using competence profiles. Each competence profile describes the different research areas of an expert and constitutes a competence-oriented visiting card.
Through the Internet, the innovation portal allows accessing research areas, organisations, projects, publications or piece of news in a completely new and innovative way. Interested users are offered a user-friendly tool for navigating efficiently through the different competence areas.
