Lars Högdahl Chairman of the Regional Growth Committee, Swedish Ministry of Industry:

"inno assisted the Regional Growth Committee in its task aiming to strengthen long-term economic development in exposed labour-market regions in parts of mid-central Sweden. The strategy of inno combining competence mapping with foresight methodology successfully enabled the region to find new areas of development. The most exciting result of inno´s work was the initiation of co-operations disregarding from geographically administrative boarders and traditional sector definitions."

Philippe Deléarde

(27.09.2005) Following its global strategy to help newly created biotech companies to enter European research programmes especially from FP6, Natibs has organised an event in Berlin focused on the 4th and last call on LSH (Life Sciences and Helath). More than 20 SMEs have attended the meeting and more than 15 projects have been presented by their leaders as potential opportunities.

Together with the Chamber of commerce and industry of Essonne, inno TSD coordinates the Natibs project, an European project launched in may 2004 after being selected as an Economic and Technology Intelligence project of the FP6.

After creating a database of 240 SMEs containing 110 technology audits and more than 50 Ips/Noes, Natibs has started the matchmaking process, either between existing projects and SMEs or among SMEs and laboratories willing to create a new project.

Meetings with projects leaders and candidate SMEs have already been organised in February in Barcelona and in June in Tel Aviv.
The meeting in Berlin, organised in the framework of the Asian-Berlin biotech conference, focused in particular on the 4th and last call on LSH, for which the deadline was set on November 9th.

For that call, more than 170 M€ had been reserved to STREP-SME, in order to encourage SMEs to participate (it had been decided to reserve 30 to 50% of the budget for SMEs).

The audience in Berlin was very interested in the projects detected by Natibs and fruitful contacts have been established to increase the partnership around the projects.

Any additional laboratories or SMEs may join the process.
