Ellen Pedersen, ex-Project Manager TACIS, currently manager of the EU export promotion programmes to Japan:

"inno engaged with the European Commission in the process of modernising the naukograds (Scientific Cities) in the Russian Federation. The project team made all the difference in that process, and results emerged in each naukograd. A sound regional Innovation Strategy (the first of its kind in Russia) was approved and implementation started, commercialisation activities from scientific centres took place with concrete return on investments, and related benefits.
A successful project depends on people, ideas, and political will."

Evaluation of the technology transfer policy in the French region Rhônes-Alpes carried out through a demand-supply analysis, including a series of recommendations to improve the consensus-finding process in the regions.

inno Germany AG conducted a large questionnaire survey with statistical need analysis among more than 300 regional SMEs. This need analysis aimed at gaining insight into the regional companies' expressed and latent needs for innovation or related support services. In parallel, inno Germany AG preformed a supply analysis to examine the strengths and weaknesses of the regional supply infrastructure. The results of both analyses were used as the basis for the formulation of recommendations of how to improve the support infrastructure in the region Rhônes-Alpes.
The results of these analyses and of the discussions in the steering committee constituted the basis to decide on refinements and adjustments in the regional innovation strategy. It was decided to design a network between the leading research organisations and universities in Rhône-Alpes aiming at improving the cooperation with industry.
inno Germany AG designed a model for this network and supported the process of consensus-finding among the regional stakeholders, the representatives of the Conseil Régional, ANVAR, DRIRE, DRRT, CCI as well as the representatives of the leading research organisations and universities in the region.
