Helmholtz Experts - a competence platform of the Helmholtz Association

The Helmholtz Association is the biggest scientific community in Germany, consisting of 15 large-scale research centres and employing around 24.000 people. The annual budget of the association amounts to more than 2 billion Euros. The goal of the competence portal Helmholtz-Experten.de is to make the competences of the scientists in the different research centres available to industry.

Supported by the Ministry of Research and Education, innoveas AG, in its role of prime contractor on behalf of the Research Centre Karlsruhe and the Helmholtz Association, has designed and implemented this competence portal.
The competence portal Helmholtz-Experten.de was set up with the following objectives:
 | To provide the industrial user with a central access point to, and structured search possibilities (search journey) for the competences of the Helmholtz Research Association.

| To support and simplify the process of establishing contacts with competence bearers, thus enabling Helmholtz-Experten.de to become a sparring partner for the industry.
|
| To present the Helmholtz Research Association as a "community" of research centres interested in the co-operation with industrial enterprises. This allows for a clear positioning and an enhancement of the image of the community.
|
| To provide the competence bearers with a platform where they can present themselves and their competences, emphasising those skills and strengths relevant to industry. This way, to a certain extent they become "visible" to companies.
|
Thus, the competence portal www.Helmholtz-Experten.de is a tool for technology transfer and marketing not only to the Helmholtz Community, but also to the single experts in the cooperating research centres.
